F is for Fall, Friends and Fotography.

Fall has come to be epitomized for me in the Longview Lake driving event. This is official. Since I won my blue ribbon there, there is no reason to keep it secret — it’s my favorite event. Even though Bullet is the size of a large dog, he is a horse, and thus doesn’t belong on this blog. Except this one picture:

The picture was taken by Stacy Branam of Digital Express Photography–she and her husband, Tim, specialize in driving events. I first fell in love with their photography and then when I had a chance to chat to Stacy as a cynic to cynic, I fell in love with her and Tim. For a discount offer, read on…Since 2004, I’ve had a few chances to operate the Branams’ excellent equipment–a fact which has spoiled digital photography for me forever, since now I’m a complete snob. When I hang around Stacy and Tim, I get to shoot with a great length, on a professional-grade slr camera. I don’t even care what brand it is: if I focus on my timing and composition I get fantastic shots, and if I’m just barely awake, I get really good ones.
